What is my work about?

The focus of my work continues to be the same.
The type of people I help has changed. Here’s why:

All of the work that I do has to do with Stress and Disease Prevention, in the areas of mental, emotional, and physical health. That hasn’t changed at all.

Since I work in a holistic manner, it is better to understand my client’s backgrounds before anything, to know the source of their problems. For example, it’s good to find out when they first noticed that they had put on weight, or what was the reason why they had first started smoking, what was going on in their lives that triggered them to start the unhealthy behavior or fear that they were in.

Many people have looked for me in the past, in hopes that I would help them stay focused on their new healthy habits. All of them had a health goal, whether it was to lose a couple (or dozens) of pounds or quit smoking, eat less sugar, or help them prevent illness and diseases by changing their lifestyle and diet to one that could possibly change their genetic predisposition for the better.

In other words, it’s always good to know how balanced or unbalanced people’s lives are, to know how to start helping them. For example, giving them reasons as to why they should go to the gym more often based on their health, or go out with friends more often instead of just working themselves sick, or recommending them to a psychologist when I realized that they were depressed.

Stress is the number one killer in the world. That is why my work focuses on Stress and Disease Prevention: because stress changes our hormones, our mental states, our emotional balance… our entire lives…  causing illness and disease.

And almost every time, while trying to understand the lives of my clients, the topic of our conversations would turn to either stress caused by “money” or “relationships”; or problems with relationships because of money, or problems with money because of their relationships, and so forth. You got the picture.

What has changed the focus of my work in a great manner was when I realized how many men and women were (or could be) living in danger, in a toxic relationship where emotional, mental, and many times physical abuse would take place. 

myself have been through extreme toxic relationships for many years, and have written some of it on my blog.

But because I have learned so much about toxic relationships first-hand, from personal experiences, as well as from learning about the subject in dozens of books, and many years of therapy that I myself have undergone, my clients were able to relate to me.

Suddenly the focus of my business became to help women and men of every background I can possibly imagine (including people from other countries), leave abusive relationships and reclaim their peace and happiness while regaining control of their lives.

Just like that, without any planning on my part, the lives of hundreds of people started to change! And I had the honors to be able to see their faces, from the front row, looking at the light at the end of the tunnel for the first time, regain strength, and become their best friends, setting boundaries for themselves.

So how can I not think that this is my calling in life? I have absolutely no doubt that it is. 

For this reason, I now volunteer to help people in Brazil, making videos on my YouTube channel explaining about toxic relationships, and malignant personality disorders, and running a support group on Facebook that is full of beautiful souls recovering from emotional abuse; a place where they find the validation that they need to recover, from each other and me.

I try to answer every single message that I receive because I know their importance.

My current projects have been to record audio files in English and Portuguese, with motivational support messages, as well as write books explaining about domestic violence, different types of abuse, toxic relationships, malignant personality disorders, and how I was able to recover from the emotional, mental, and physical abuses that I went through in my life.

When I am able to finish my first book, my next project will be to start a retreat for people to be able to relax and distress while learning to love themselves again.
