Shop Small Saturday
I hope that you had a very happy Thanksgiving day yesterday, and took some time to reflect on the things that matter the most to you. I am very thankful to you! 😀
Tomorrow is a day to celebrate Small Businesses.
Many of us don’t even know what type of small businesses are in a 5-mile radius from our home. And no one is to blame since small businesses are having to compete against big corporations, overproductions, and franchises spread all over the country.
But think about it… small business owners are the heart of our counties, cities, towns… They are there thinking of US every day: what WE like, what WE need, what WE want.
We are the small businesses’ target markets. Even though we haven’t paid much attention to them, they have been paying all of their attention to our needs, in hopes that we will stop by their storefront, on our way home from work.
I will tell you first hand: It is very difficult to be a small business owner nowadays. Not only because of the competition but also because of high taxes. I myself have thought of closing my business for those very reasons. But, seeing my clients’ appreciative faces after each of their appointments was what kept me going through the years.
I’ll be entering year 11th of my business this coming year! It’s crazy to even think I’ve made it this far!
Well, this email is just to remind you of those small businesses that you have passed by many times without paying much attention to. This Holiday Season, become their inspiration and motivation by keeping our heart’s town beating.
Shop at small businesses. Price may be a bit higher, but you won’t be disappointed. 🙂
